Requirements to obtain VISA to enter Zambia

Passport Information

U.S. Passport or passport of any other nationality, musthave at least 6 months remaining validity from the day of entry into the country for which VISA has been applied for. If validity is less than 6 months ETS will renew your passport (Fee’s apply).

Zambia Tourist Visa

A valid signed passport, with at least 6 months validity remaining from the date of travel.
Passport must have a minimum of two blank pages with the word ‘VISA’ or ‘ENTRIES’
Application forms must be submitted in duplicate (two copies) per applicant and completed in full. One photocopy of an original application form will be accepted. – Click Here
Two passport type photographs. Please sign on the back of each photograph and staple one photo to each application form.
A color copy of the Green Card (front and back) or a valid visa back to the U.S. if the applicant is not a U.S. citizen.
Applicants traveling on a Visitor Visa should include a signed “Letter of Invitation” from their hosts in Zambia, and a copy of the host’s proof of residency in Zambia, e.g. National Registration Card (in the case of Zambians), copy of passport and valid visa or permit (in the case of foreigners). The “Invitation letter” should include the following: the host’s name and address, applicant’s name, length of stay in Zambia, purpose of visit.
Onward/return ticket or confirmed itinerary, along with the hotel reservation is required. If available, include a copy of the tour itinerary.

Zambia Business Visa

A letter from the company in the U.S. (on company letterhead) stating the purpose and duration of the trip and guaranteeing financial support during the intended stay in Zambia

Other Information

Please Note: US citizens receive a 3 year visa while other nationals receive 3 month visas. Citizens of certain countries require prior approval from the immigration office in Zambia.The visa approval should be sent directly to the Embassy of Zambia in Washington D.C. Once approval is confirmed, we can submit your documents to the Washington D.C. office for processing.
