Requirements to obtain VISA to enter Turkmenistan

Passport Information

U.S. Passport or passport of any other nationality, musthave at least 6 months remaining validity from the day of entry into the country for which VISA has been applied for. If validity is less than 6 months ETS will renew your passport (Fee’s apply).

Turkmenistan Tourist Visa

  • A valid passport with at least 6 months validity remaining. The passport must be accompanied along with its 1st page copy (showing bearer’s details and signature), arranged in a way that it fits vertically into the upper half part of a standard Letter Size paper (8.1/2”x 11”)
  • 1 visa application form, completed and signed – Click Here. All application forms must be typed in.
  • Two (2) Visa Application forms per person
  • Two (2) passport size photos glued to the Applications ( please do not staple the photos to the application forms)
  • Submit a letter of invitation from the person to be visited certified by the State Foreign Citizens Registration Service of Turkmenistan. The invitation is valid only for 3 (three) months from the date it was confirmed
  • If you are traveling as a tourist and will not be meeting anyone in Turkmenistan, you must contact any of travel and tourism agencies in Turkmenistan
  • Legal resident aliens of the United States must have a valid visa for re-entry into the U.S. and must submit a copy of their Resident Alien Card
  • Onward/return ticket or confirmed itinerary

Turkmenistan Business Visa

Other Information

  • Persons planning to stay in Turkmenistan for more than 3 months need to present HIV certificate from a doctor.
