China Tourist Visa
- A valid signed passport with at least six months validity remaining and at least two blank visa page.
- A copy of the passport vital page.
- One visa application form, fully completed and signed-Click Here. All fields must be filled in. Please save your application ID as you will need it to retrieve the application. If you would like to use our service, please email us the application ID, so we can review your application before you submit online. Once submitted, changes cannot be made. Please print application on separate sheets of paper. Front to back printing will not be accepted. Incomplete application forms will be returned by the consulate. Please sign the confirmation page and Section 9.1A of the application form.
- 1-passport type colored photograph, front view facing, on a white background, less than 6 months old. No glasses or hat to be worn on the photo. The digital photo must be uploaded on the application form.
- Applicants born in China, Hong Kong or Taiwan must write their name in Chinese character.
- Applicants must provide proof of residency that displays their name and current street address. (P.O. Box is not acceptable) This can include a copy of their valid driver’s license, government issued photo ID or major utility bill (water, gas, electric, sewage) for the most recent month, showing the applicant’s name and current address.
- Non-U.S. passport bearers should provide documents that entitle them to reside or work for an extended period of time in the U.S. (clear copy of green card (front and back), H1B, L1, etc)
- An applicant who was born in China, Hong Kong or Taiwan is required to submit his /her Chinese passport or last foreign passport with a Chinese visa when he/she applies for a Chinese visa with with his / her current passport.
- Applicants who have previously held China visas are required to submit a copy of that passport page and a copy of the China visa issued in that passport. If you are no longer in possession of your previous Chinese visa, you may include a letter to the Chinese consulate explaining when and where you received your previous visa and how the passport and visa were lost/misplaced. The issuance of a new visa will be at the discretion of the consulate.

Minors under 18 years of age must follow special requirements to obtain a Tourist Visa to travel to China. In addition to the above requirements for a Tourist Visa, the following additional documents must also be presented:
- A photocopy of the birth certificate.
- Photocopy of driver’s license of both parents.
- Photocopy of both parents’ passports, and any current China visas

- A business invitation letter from the sponsoring company in China. The letter should be printed on company letterhead addressed to “The Consulate General of the People’s Republic of China, Visa Section”, and signed by a senior manager and stamped with the company seal. The business letter must include the following information: • Information on the applicant (full name, gender, date of birth, passport number} • Information on the planned visit (purpose of visit, arrival and departure dates, place(s) to be visited, relations between the applicant and the inviting entity or individual, financial source for expenditures). Information on the inviting entity or individual (name, contact telephone number, address, official stamp, signature of the legal representative or the inviting individual).
