Nigeria Tourist Visa

• A valid passport with at least six months validity remaining and at least one blank visa page.
• 1 visa application form, completed and signed – Click Here. All application forms must be typed in.
• The visa application form must be completed online only and the appropriate consular fees paid online with a credit card. Please print the payment receipt.
• Click on “START APPLICATION’. Choose from GOOGLE, YAHOO or OPEN ID and create an account or if you have one, SIGN IN.
• Complete the application form – PRINT (2) copies – click submit
• On successful submission of your application, you will come to a page that will contain your reference ID which will also be emailed to you from the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) – Close the screen to proceed to payment
• Please provide a copy of the payment and acknowledge receipt.
• 2- identical recent passport type photographs, less than 6 months old. No glasses to be worn on the photos.
• A colored  copy of the Green Card(front and back) or a valid visa back to the U.S. if the applicant is not a U.S. citizen
• Invitation letter from host in Nigeria( with full address ) and a copy of his/her Nigerian passport (first four pages)
• Tourist must submit copies of their certified hotel reservation
• Proof of sufficient funds (latest bank statement)
• A copy of the onward/return ticket or confirmed itinerary

For Minors

• Children must submit a copy of their birth certificate
• Children of Nigerian parents must submit copy of the information page of both parent’s passport
• Signed letters of consent from both parents
• Photocopies of parents’ passports (bio-data page) or valid ID must accompany the application
• In case where either parent has  sole custody, a copy of a legal document should be provided to this effect. In this case consent is needed only from the single parent.

Resident aliens inviting friends must submit copies of their resident permits and the information page of their passports.
Aliens married to Nigerians or invited by Nigerians must submit copies of their hosts’ or spouses’ passports and letters accepting responsibility. Religious visitors and missionary workers will require per-approval from the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Nigeria

• A cover letter from the company in the U.S. on the company letter head stating the purpose and duration of the trip, name and address of the company to be visited and that the company in the U.S. guarantees financial support during the stay in Nigeria.
• Business invitation on business letterhead addressed to the Consulate General of Nigeria. It must state the address of the host organization, the reason for the visit and must be be signed and dated.
•  A copy of the certificate of Incorporation of the host in Nigeria
