Requirements to obtain VISA to enter Mozambique

Passport Information

U.S. Passport or passport of any other nationality, must have at least 6 months remaining validity from the day of entry into the country for which VISA has been applied for. If validity is less than 6 months ETS will renew your passport (Fee’s apply).

Mozambique Tourist Visa

  • A valid  signed passport with at least 6 months validity remaining
  • 1 visa application form, completed and signed – Click Here.
  • 2 passport type photographs (2×2),front view facing,on a white background, no glasses)
  • A copy of the Green Card or a valid visa to the U.S. if the applicant is not a U.S. citizen
  • A copy of the onward/return ticket or confirmed itinerary
  • Hotel confirmation or invitation letter from the inviting  party in Mozambique as well as a copy of BI (Mozambican ID), Passport (Mozambican) or DIRE
  • Invitations by non-citizens living in Mozambique must include a copy of “DIRE” as proof of residence.
  • Applicants  under the age of 18 must attach a parental travel consent letter and a copy of their birth certificate to the visa application form.

Mozambique Business Visa

  • A valid signed passport with atleast 6 months validity remaining
  • 1 visa application form, completed and signed – Click Here.
  • 2 passport type photographs (2×2),front view facing,on a white background, no glasses)
  • A copy of the Green Card or a valid visa to the U.S. if the applicant is not a U.S. citizen
  • A letter of invitation from the host company in Mozambique
  • A letter from the company in the U.S. stating the purpose and duration of the trip
  • A copy of the onward/return ticket or confirmed itinerary

Other Information

  • Visas must be used within 60 days from date of issue, if not the visa will no longer be valid for entry into Mozambique.
  • If the applicant has been in a Yellow Fever endemic country, they must present a Vaccination Certificate, both at the Embassy and at the entry border post.
