Requirements to obtain VISA to enter Iran
Passport Information
U.S. Passport or passport of any other nationality, musthave at least 6 months remaining validity from the day of entry into the country for which VISA has been applied for. If validity is less than 6 months ETS will renew your passport (Fee’s apply).
Iran Tourist Visa
- One completed application form
- A valid passport with at least 6 months remaining validity.
- 1 visa application form, completed and signed – Click Here. All application forms must be typed in.
- One completed application form
- 1- passport types photograph
- Photocopy of the Green Card, if the applicant is not a U.S. citizen
- For tourism, the applicant can apply through a tour company. These tours are usually conducted through agencies in the U.S. or the European Union
- For applicants visiting friends or relatives in Iran, please have them request a visa for the applicant through the ministry in Tehran. Once the foreign ministry approves the request, they will send the Washington DC office an authorization to that effect. Friends, relatives and tour agents will also be informed of this authorization number, and they in turn should give the applicant this number.

Iran Business Visa
- A valid passport with at least 6 months remaining validity.

- 1- passport types photograph
- Photocopy of the Green Card, if the applicant is not a U.S. citizen
- For applicants applying for a business visa, please have your business associate request a visa for the applicant through the ministry in Tehran. Once the foreign ministry approves the request, they will send the Washington DC office an authorization to that effect Business associates will also be informed of this authorization number, and they in turn should give the applicant this number.
- Once the authorization number is obtained, please send all documents to ETS for the visa
- A cover letter from your company in the U.S. stating the purpose of the trip, and that all financial expenses will be covered by the company during the applicant’s intended stay in Iran
