Requirements to obtain VISA to enter Kenya

Passport Information

U.S. Passport or passport of any other nationality, must have at least 6 months remaining validity from the day of entry into the country for which VISA has been applied for. If validity is less than 6 months ETS will renew your passport (Fee’s apply).

U.S. citizens need a visa for Kenya for tourist/business purposes.

The Kenya government has changed its visa issuance method to an e-visa option only.

Travelers can apply for single or multiple entry visas.

Single entry visa is valid for 3 months from the date of issue. Multiple entry visa is valid for 3-6 months from the date of issue.

E-visa fee once submitted is non-refundable as the fee is for processing the application and is not dependent on the grant or rejection of the e-visa.

ETS can assist you in completing the e-visa application for a fee of $175.00

Other Information

Immunization against yellow fever and cholaria are recommended
Antimalarial prevention medications are recommended for those visiting tropical regions
East Africa Visa: allows travel between Kenya, Rwanda and Uganda with the same multiple entry visa. The holder of the East African Tourist visa shall enter the region from the country that issued the visa and move within the other two countries without applying for another visa or paying the visa fee.
